Standard Fabrics & Recycled Fabrics (made from post-consumer plastics)
Fabric Banners has a wide offering of fabrics depending on your needs from
satins to sheers, canvas to flag fabrics.  Below are a few of the options available.
Satin - 100% recycled from post consumer plastics like water bottles)
Characteristics High End Look with Soft, Lo-Sheen (Excellent for Photography)
Typical Applications Satin is used for interior applications or short term exterior use only. Excellent for use in tradeshows for small (2 ft x 4 ft) to medium size banners (8 ft x 10 ft). Satin is particularly well suited for point of purchase displays especially cosmetics, women’s clothing, lingerie and evening wear.
Advantages Satin is very elegant. Uses: Premier events or high end products like jewerly or products that you want to highlight.
Disadvantages Satin seams are not as flat as other fabrics.  It is not a good choice for oversized banners with excessive paneling (three or more panels). Does crease if folded or wrinkle if piled up. Recommended storage - rolled on a tube.
Color Density Excellent
Care Machine Washable, No bleach
Poplin
Characteristics Flat finish, and soft
Typical Applications Poplin is used for interior applications or short term exterior use only. It is excellent in large banner applications for tradeshows, museums. It is an all around fabric - used for most applications.
Advantages Minimal wrinkling compared with other fabrics.  Poplin is excellent for oversized projects - large tradeshow overhead displays, music concert banners. It is also used in small to medium size applications where a flat finish is desirable. It is the best fabric when a very flat, tight look is desired yet it is also the best fabric for draping. It is an excellent fabric for table drape displays in stores or tradeshows.
Disadvantages Poplin does stretch - if an application requires no stretching - poplin would not be a good choice.
Color Density Good to Excellent
Care Machine Washable, No bleach
Canvas
Characteristics Flat finish, and rough look
Typical Applications Canvas is used for interior applications or short term exterior (3 month) use only.
Advantages Canvas has a heavy textured fabric - the weave is usually the reason for its selection. It is excellent when a particular look is required such as clothing signage such as jeans or sportswear, certain corporate identities. It is also used in small to medium size applications where a flat, rough finish is desirable. Canvas is particularly well suited for point of purchase displays in sporting goods, lawn & garden, "earthy displays". (Poplin is also a good choice for these applications when texture is not required).
Disadvantages Canvas does wrinkle - it should be rolled on tubes for storage. It does not have as flat a seam as poplin and it not recommended for multiple panel projects (over three).
Color Density Good to Excellent
Care Machine Washable, No bleach
ShowGlow™
Characteristics Very smooth, very shiny - excellent substitute for vinyl
Typical Applications ShowGlowTM is used for interior applications or mid term exterior use – up to 1 year
Advantages ShowGlowTM is very light weight in comparison to vinyl yet it is much stronger and will not crack and peel in the same manner as vinyl.  1/3 to 2/3 less weight than vinyl, good outdoor alternative to vinyl for small and medium size projects. Extremely tough – can withstand extreme heat.
Disadvantages It can not be folded like regular fabric - it must be rolled.
Color Density Excellent to Superb

Color
Proof Sample All files must have PMS numbers called out on a paper printout. The printout should be in color although black & white is acceptable if the call outs are clearly identified
Different Shades of the Same Color If you have several shades of the same color in the graphic file. Make sure that the primary colors (CYMK) blends used in making shades have different color values.
What's Most Important in the Print While every attempt is made to do exact color matching, sometimes one area must be compromised for the whole. Please note in the package what is the most important element for you - for example in a photograph the blue in the sky may be more important than the house or in a graphic the red might be more important than black.
File Format Files are accepted from the MAC or PC in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, and Corel Draw (PC only). Files should be saved as CYMK files and in the program format as .ai, .cdr etc. While tiff, eps, jpg, tga, gif and others are acceptable the native program format is preferred.
Size Please note VERY BIG Graphic Banners can be made from very small files as long as the resolution is high (400-1200 dpi - preferred). For example, a 4 ft x 6 ft banner can be made from a 4 in x 6 in file as long as it is high resolution in the native file or .eps.
Text - Fonts BEST METHOD: Turn fonts into outline or curves and save as an eps or postscript file. If this is not possible, please call for further instructions.
